Main Duties/responsibilities:
To support and work closely with a team of .net trained developers working on a series of web and interactive application development..
- You will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, implementation and integration of multi-threaded .NET 2.0 Winforms software components and play an active role in system verification and validation
- To follow internal procedures and working processes
- To assist with the technical integration and administration of managed databases
- To follow internal procedures and working processes.
- The technical environment is ASP.NET (1.x/2.0), C#, VB.Net, SQL Server 2000/2005, T-SQL, Visual Studio.Net 2003/2005, Web Services and HTML.
Working conditions:
This position will be located at Tiempo IT limited in Croydon, with some travel required.
Working Relationships:
- This position will report to IT Manager
- This position will work closely with the IT Project Managers and clients when required.
Person Specifications:
Qualifications and education required:
- Graduate – Level Degree (Engineering or Science discipline)
- Certification in .Net Programming (Preferred not essential )
Experience Required:
Candidates are expected to have worked in a similar role for at least 3 years and be familiar with all aspects of Web Software Development.
- Technical skills include very strong development experience in C#.Net (preferably with experience of v 2.0),
- It is essential that you have full lifecycle development in VB and ASP with good exposure to .Net, C#.
- Experience of Oracle 9i and SQL Server 2000 (or above).
- Microsoft certification would be an advantage.
- Experience of building enterprise level applications in a multi-tiered architecture, server based C#, C++ or Java
- Experience of building front-end applications using WinForms
- Writing stored procedures and website development - specifically ASP.NET and C#.
- Experience using T-SQL on SQL server.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will be given the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of a company partnered with the major Business Intelligence solution providers in the market using your IT skills. In this role you will also be given outstanding opportunities to use other Business Intelligence products (Outlook Soft, Cognos etc).
Manage or work in the team to carry out the design and implementation of Data warehousing solutions e.g. Developing key performance indicators (KPI) and Data marts working closely with Customer Management Information Systems(CMIS) with other dependant source and target systems.
Working in association with the Business Analysts/Customers to understand and interpret the information needs of the assigned business cluster (e.g. Supply Chain); monitoring the Data Model built by the Information Analysts and providing technical key values to implement the same in the Data Warehouse.
Producing the Data Design Architecture document detailing how the data warehouse holds the data as input for the Technical Development team in order to build interfaces by means of Data warehousing tools like Business Objects Data Integrator(BODI)/ Ardent DataStage / Kalido; reporting (Business Objects Business Intelligence tools, Application Foundation Dashboard) and other coding tools (e.g. Microsoft .Net web front ends).
Providing inputs to the modelling teams so as to maintain and improve where appropriate design and implementation standard needs improvement.
